Gunnerside 42 "GS42"

The 80th anniversary edition of the boots made by famed Scottish bootmaker Robert Lawrie for the Norwegian SOE-agent Joachim Rønneberg for Operation Gunnerside during WWII is now available for pre-order.

The Gunnerside42 is a replica of the original made in 1942 with a few modern add-ons like rubber soles and speed hooks.

For the upper we choose a vegetable tanned waxy leather from Carlo Badalassi, to resemble the subtle beauty of the original. Constructed with a Norwegian welt with added storm welt, it offers fantastic comfort and extreme durability in any weather. A seldom seen wadmel ring tops the shaft to create a soft transistion for your legs while insuring both insulation and breathing. The Gunnerside last is very well balanced, and offers a wide footbed and a roomy toe.

To protect the leather sole we use a Swiss made rubber sole with excellent grip.

The 80th anniversary edition is available in black only, and production starts in March 2023.
